Let's Go Camping
A project of Girl Scout Troop 50220

The Let's Go Camping Project
About us
The Let's Go Camping project was launched in 2023 by Mia and Ally, two seasoned campers and Ambassador Girl Scouts from Troop 50220, along with their adventurous troop leaders, Jen Armstrong and Dana Bauer. They created the project to share their passion for tent camping with younger Girl Scouts. In May 2023, a dozen Junior Girl Scouts participated in the first Let's Go Camping workshop and overnight camping trip. In May 2024, 20 campers in grades 3 through 6 went camping with Mia, Ally, and Anabella, an Senior Girl Scout from Troop 50220, who joined temporarily to help lead the trip. In May 2025, another 20 campers in grades 4 and 5 participated in the program, and Mia and Ally welcomed Izzy, a Cadette Girl Scout, as their first leader-in-training. The next trip will be the weekend of April 25-26, 2026. Let's go camping!
